Sean Wallitsch's Story:

Ok.. Hi... For the first time in the life of "Rubicon" (henceforth
referred to as: Chimera) I've got a deadline. I've got to finish this
history text by Monday, in two days because after about 4 years,
we're going beta... Ok, I should be happy- but I'm a lazy son of a
bitch and I can't be bothered to write this story... where
should I begin?

I entered the Marathon world about a year after Marathon: Infinity
came out. Still living with my parents and in my Sr. year of High
School, I played around with photoshop, learned how to do a couple
silly effects, and peddled myself off as someone who could do graphic
arts work for Marathon.

Now, then I could barely do graphics, (I still cannot make them from
scratch, but I've become fairly proficient in photo editing and
extremely proficient in 3d sfx for movies (my major)) so I found
myself avoiding difficult work...

The first actual project I worked on was the ill fated: "Return to
Tau Ceti" scenario. Months into it, under my destructive influence,
the entire project crew revolted under the leadership of a 12 year
old.. Ok, right.. what the hell were we doing following a 12 year old
around? We don't know- we didn't know he was 12 until I forced it out
of him near the very end.

After that, I continued talking with the various members RTTC, and we
did a couple more projects, none of which were very big or every
amounted to much (We did manage to make a storyline to a book, and I
wrote a short 30 minute script for a Marathon movie) but eventually
the group parted ways- and the leader of the RTTC scenario is still
blocked on my AIM list.

Soon after that.. who remembers the 'help wanted' boards of
Marathon.org? anyway- I put my little listing up there- and Scott
(leader of Chimera (err.. Rubicon)) messaged me and asked me to lend
a hand in the project. My graphic skills lacking badly still, I
declined to ruin the project with my graphics and let them run the
Chimera hotline server on my computer. It worked well, I kept the
computer on 24/7, sneaked off every friday night and shut off the
server to play Warcraft II (shhh, don't tell Scott) and this
continued for.. about 2 years? ug! My god.. Anyway, I was, and am, a
slacker still, so my involvement of the project was that I kept the
server running as long as possible, and made sure to every 7 or 8
months, reorganize it and make it so we could find things :D

So anyway, I guess now we're finally finishing the project.. thanks
go the following people:

Scott: For always putting up with my slacking
Clund: Same reason, oh, and for teaching me the sunglasses smilie: B)
Jeff (DOA): Where are you? Where did you go? thanks for being part of
the project for a little bit there..
Face: For pointing out stupid idiotic things the rest of us missed.

Ok, now thanks to my friends that put up with me while I was doing
this: NO! DON'T TURN OFF THE COMPUTER! CLUNDS IN THE MIDDLE OF
DOWNLOADING A 40 MEG FILE OVERNIGHT!!!

In no order: Akiyo Ishii, Ashley Thompson, Leyna Krow, Nate Bodily,
Micah Chung, Brian Jorgenson, Linda Kammer, Van Ngyun, Dori Myer,
Hippieman, RuGGeR, Michael Bryant-Gardiner (thank you for introducing
me to Marathon, all those years ago), Sarah Anderson, Michele Cheng,
Heather Cohen, Emma Edwards, Danielle Ferraro, Brian Hsieh, Jamin
Messenger...

And now I am done, I hope you all enjoy Rubicon as much as I enjoyed
being a part of its creation.
